The veteran actor was born on December 29th, 1942 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. He made his Bollywood debut in 1966 with Aakhri Khat. He worked with heroines like Mumtaz, Sharmila Tagore, Farida Jalal, Tina Munim, Rekha to name a few.
